You know how people always tell those stories of their friends or family sneaking up behind them and scaring the hell out of them? Yeah that's never happened to me. Not once.
Idk how my brain does this but I already almost immediately know if someone has entered the room. Like automatically I can hear footsteps, shifting shadows and feel someone's presence. Even in crowded rooms and at parties I can find my friends and family within seconds. When I am alert my situational awareness is even higher. I can exactly tell if some item or object has been moved by an inch
My cousins, roommates have all tried to sneak up or surprise me at some point and I'll just casually say something like "hey how are you" before they even make their move. Even in bootcamp my CO asked me if I have eyes behind my back or what. I don't know if it's something I developed growing up paranoid or it's just wired into me.
