I have to remove 2 lower premolars and 2 widsom teeth for my bimax

They say this is mandatory to advance the mandible.

They need to decompensate the lower teeth and create an overjet.

Will it cause any problems in terms of recession or will the bimax more than make up for it.

Wisdom teeth usually get extracted for this
Premolars only if you are being jewed, or have a chimp protrusion

Did you have any extractions before? I had 2 upper premolars removed and I'm afraid they'll tell me to take the other 2 when i get bimax

I too had to remove all my wisdom teeth for jaw surgery. But all my wisdom teeth were impacted.

This was the reason I didn't go through with my BSSO. Wisdom teeth are the only teeth I would be comfortable removing. Removing anything else is a bandaid solution.

I don’t like the idea of extractions, in general, but sometimes there’s no other way. It would depend on the case, there are many factors to take into consideration.
