I just found out I have a recessed chin, how do I fix it?

if i measure by the chin-nasion, theyre equal length/chin is slightly behind it
if i measure by the chin-lip, my chin is behind it

im gonna talk to the dentist ab it first, i havent been there in years, i wanna see what they say.
would they do anything besides braces?

im only gonna go forward with the ones that permanently alter the bone. i dont wanna go back every couple of years because the piece of plastic doesnt fit in my mandible anymore
You don’t have to go back ever with implants lol they last a lifetime.

And no braces are just to fix the bite. But you should get a palate expander instead to widen your maxilla and straighten lower teeth then braces. It will shorten time with braces for jaw surgery by a couple months.

And your chin might be recessed probably not if you have big lips

yea, if I measure chin-nasion im well past it. but if it's chin-lower lip slightly behind or equal, depending on the angle from my right profile. for some reason my left profile never looks recessed. it's odd. either way im heavily considering a sliding genioplasty with eppley in the next 18 months

im gonna lower my bf before seeing if its worth it. if end up being chadlite i wont do it.

and how do i bring up the topic of palate expanders to him without sounding like an autist? i thinking ab asking for it in my next visit but it would be impossible to justify getting one at 17.

yea i have the same issue, my left side looks more recessed than my right side.

but since your chin extends far beyond your nasion i dont think you have a recessed chin. it might be your chin genetically isnt equal on both sides. if u want u can pm pics and i can tell you.

Your supposed to get palate expander while young. Even early like 13-14 don’t be a high inhibition autist this your teeth where talking about.

If your palate suture closes which is around 21 you’ll need invasive surgery called a sarpe instead. Fix it as early as possible
