look at this 9yo with an iq of 140. you think he is smart compared to me? just lol. he does ice running and karate. things a smart person would never do. he basically wastes his time at school, while a smart person quits school asap. he also playd music, another thing that is a waste of time

They got doctors measuring kid’s IQ and saying “oh look he’s so smart, he can calculate pi to the 67th decimal place without error!” but then the kid ends up a shut in virginal loser on the world of warcraft forum at the age of 26 wondering where it all went wrong….

It’s not that it’s bad to have a high IQ, having a higher than average IQ is good. it’s that often times when you get an IQ really high, you get Asperger’s, autism, an inability to socialize and these disorders with it. And the ability to socialize is far more important than a brain’s raw computational/pattern recognizing ability. Because let’s face it. Even engineers use calculators, CAD tools, simulation software in all they do, they don’t calculate everything in their heads. You don’t need to be high IQ to be an engineer. Sure theoretical Physicists need to be high IQ to come up with novel concepts and shit but most aren’t even paid well….

So if you’re high IQ but have none of the social machinery that allows you to be Machiavellian and pursue what you want, your high IQ is kinda useless except for a few meh paid positions.
