This stuff is too easily accessible

Once you go past a certain point, it's nearly impossible to stop

Even if you magically improve your life and fill your schedule, it wont give you the feeling you can get "at request" with substances

And, even worse, that feeling gets even more better if you already feel good sober

Fixing your life doesnt do anything, you need the dopamine, the hormonal rush you had from life as a kid/teen when your mind wasnt yet depressed and damaged. When you could still dream, had a lot of hope, and a positive outlook

Was gonna mention that, but forgot

the only experience comparable to even a buzz is the general perception of life you have as a child. Between 7 and 12, maybe. Once your sentience starts to fill in and you grow out of the state where everything feels magical, it's over

If having an objectively good life was enough, there would be 0 gl people and celebs with alcohol addiction

Yeah, i remember a couple of such nights. Also, it seems that dreams become more intense and even exhausting when you fall asleep drunk
