I look good in the mirror but weird in mirror selfies?

I'm not talking about angularity or asymmetries. When i go look in the mirror, nothing jumps to my eyes : ''that's a bad feature''. Since i'm in motion and the eyes are better than cameras when it comes to perceiving faces. But as soon as i take a mirror pic i look weird af, like going from 6-7 to a 4.

It's like my harmony disappears and i see everything on my face as a flaw , my face gets narrow af even tho irl my skull is wide (alongside my face) . Since it's mirror selfies/videos it's not that much lens distortion. I have a samsung galaxy a12 so obviously it's a trash camera , maybe lighting conditions too.

What causes this? Am i retarded and delusional? I know mirrors and the eyes are more accurate than phone cameras but this affects me in a bad way because it makes me doubt on what's real and what's not and i can't take proper nt pics +weirdo stare in mirror photos . Maybe the mirror matters too

Imo the mirror is too forgiving cuz of the exposure effect. Also getting close enough for a proper look still has distortion from your eye.

I have a very high quality fuji camera and a video taken by that from 6 feet away was the best way to let me know what I look like
