You are used to the smell because you grew up there. That's why you don't notice their BO. If you smell it your whole life then you won't really smell it yourself anymore. That's why you can, on the other hand, smell their cologne because it's a completely new smell and therefore you detect it much easier. It's like when you go to someone else's house and you can smell what it actually smells like, unlike when you go to your own house because you're used to it.

But I have come across several Indian men at the gym over the years that smelled SO bad…like some mutant BO from hell. It’s extremely rude and selfish in my opinion, as I couldn’t even work out 10 feet away from these guys. It literally made it impossible to breathe.

The Indians looked otherwise well put together and groomed. I’ve heard this is a cultural thing, that many Indians don’t shower daily and this is something they have to learn when moving to America.

I don't shower everyday. Especially in winter. That's typical of Chinese. And in the village where there's no hot water during winter it's about once every two weeks. You go to the public showers.

I don't wear deodorant and I don't shower but once every other day in the summer. Don't really smell bad though because I don't really get too stressed or nervous.

You generally need to shower less in the winter because you sweat less. Interesting to hear about that part of Chinese rural life! I had no idea, they apparently live like post-WW2 era Dutch people.

You may part of the 2% of Europeans who have a gene mutation who stink less than others. Either that, or you simply stink but no one's telling you. There's a simple test to find out if you have the mutation or not.

They put curry, turmeric oil, garlic, onions, eggs etc. etc. in their hair, it's legit a part of their culture and they think it has some health benefits, when in reality it's BS. They walk around with literal rotting eggs in their hair without a care in the world. Also, all of the oil they cook in their spices stay in their clothing and get excreted in their sweat, on top of the fact that there is 0 deodorant culture and general hygiene is not a thing for them. That's not even to mention the general lack of self-awareness and respect for other people's convenience — they're used to living in overcrowded places where individuals generally treat each other like shit of the rat-race that is daily life in India.

Funnily enough the Moroccans were making fun of Pakistanis for smelling like garlic or whatever. In mainland Europe, unlike the UK and Canada, we are studycels whose families teach us not to cause problems and stuff like that. I was briefly bullied at school. It sucked as it made me feel sick.

Indians' have stinky houses too but it's less from the food, it's from the scents that you have to burn, I forgot the term.. but the smell is awful IMO, but they think it smells good.
