I see a lot of mixed reviews about towel method and overall masseter training. Some people suggest to hypertrophy it but some says just don't train it

I first learned this from Jawad who has a routine about it. And then some others like erand too. But I got some comments that I shouldn't train it at all because it makes you look bloated. And causes tmj and affects your gonial angle. This true?
