2. i gained lots of new real followers recently so theyd have to scroll past many real ones, which most wont
3. the fake accounts look real
4. even if they do figure it out, they still get the status of me following them, liking their pics and they like that status boost so more likely to be interested

I don't think it's terrible if you just want to network and want a good first impression, also it depends on your actual follower count ratio, if you have 100k as a content creator, botting it to 120k is not bad.

OP isn't doing this, but no one really cares since it boosts his self confidence, and over time people would just get used to this increase social status even if its artificial.

He just has to make sure he at least has good audience interaction like from stories or posts so it doesn't look like his page is dead and fake
