A few months ago we cleaned out the home of an old man who hung himself in his bedroom. He had no family and was not discovered until a few days later. Landlord wanted it renovated for the next tenants. Everything he owned was to be sold or thrown in the trash.
He had a bunch of old stuff. A motorcycle made in West Germany (1980), currency from Yugoslavia, etc. He seemed to like travelling a lot and had things from many different countries. Everything he owned was antique and vintage.
I took to liking some of his stuff, such as a pocket watch, a Soviet era badge and an unopened jar of Vaseline from the 1970s (which is still perfectly fine lol).
Did I put a curse on myself or something?
