I try cold approaching, need help

I wanted to ask if anyone has any advice for:
1) Make it more interesting (I just approach them, make a comment like 'i thought u was pretty' basic question about her and ask about their Instagram, its not that great. But im dont want to use a weird lame ass pick up line)
2)To care less about other people looking at me, this shit make me not approach sometimes even if the girl was looking at me in first place, It affects me a lot even though Im in a big city arounds NPCs where no one knows me.

You should keep the first line simple and genuine, so u don't sound corny and keep trying until you win. Also approach girls at places like clubs, bars and places where they'll be looser.
