Yeah fair point but its quite unfair if you basicly wiped years of languages mainly from tribes if you were to get EVERYONE. Yeah you could just decipher them but this just wouldnt be neccesery if you didnt do it in the first place

I have a theory that a lot of the people in northern/northwestern europe speak english better than they speak their native language. These people have accents but so do some of my turkish friends who grew up in the USA and can't speak turkish for shit

i think the current world is close to it. everyone learns english. even the chinese and spanish do. mandarin is #1 native language and spanish is #2. and they both learn english. english is just behind these two at #3 most native speakers though

i live in asia, so i'm bilingual pretty much, i speak the language of the area i'm in, along with english.

i'm chinese though , and it's a bit more retarded cause we seem to have a bit more trouble deciding what language we want to speak to each other in. there's even people deeper in china that still only speak hillbilly variants/dialects too.

but yea you make a strong case, but i think that the dominant languages will (mandarin, spanish) will remain dominant in their region, but they will also speak english too.

Like the majority. But at least they have their language they speak in their country

China for example, everyone decided to speak Mandarin ( Chinese), but there’s still problems where people still want to speak their dialect and variant

India is the same but even worse. They speak more English though so at least that’s better

i think all of the americas is starting to get on board though. population around 1 billion, using only 4 main languages english, spanish, portuguese, french. but yea english is still dominant throughout, basically used as a bridge. but yea again it's hard to get the masses in brazil, argentina, and other spanish countries to all learn english
