I have a semi narrow pallet although I have no difficulty breathing I really just want it for cosmetics I want to do it now so my teeth naturally close back together.

Go to an orthodontist, I got noticeable width growth with aggressive braces w/ springs and no teeth removals so it didn't destroy me, but if it's bad then you can get a palette expander and then correct the teeth gaps afterwards with normal braces.
