I noticed some hair loss (I'm nw 1.5) so today I decided to go to a hair doctor to get the prescription for Minoxidil and maybe Finasteride.
Why did I choose a female? Because I live in a very small town and there are only 2 hair doctors in town, a female and a bald man.
How can I trust a baldcel hair doctor? I thought that the female was clever enough because she's doctor, even though she's a woman
So, she starts looking at my hair and confims that I have hair miniaturization because of DHT
Then I ask her if she can prescribe Minoxidil
She says "Oh I won't prescribe you minoxidil, it has bad effects on your heart and you must take it for all your life, or you lose your gains. It's not good, it gives you only some fake hairs that will fall when you stop it. It's good only for aesthetic."
Then I say:"Should I take finasteride? I'm a bit scared of the side effects"
She says: "Oh you're clever! There are a lot of dumb men that would do everything to keep hair, they want finasteride but they end
up with a non-functioning penis. I won't prescribe it even if you want it"
And the end she prescribes me a shampoo, a lotion with vitamin C and some supplements
Sounds like a bunch of cope.
I think that I will go to another hair doctor, or perhaps I'll start taking minoxidil without prescription.
TL;DR: women aren't good doctors
