In around 10 years i will become a dentist and i will place a big emphasis on maintaining facial profile quality during treatments

What do you all think of this plan? Is this based? Am i going to be the worlds first blackpilled dentist?

I got accepted for the application stage but failed at the interview part

I just cope by saying the people i was competing against were older than me :forcedsmile:

Atleast i can looksmax my patients and make sure they have a good life

Also i can give my kids treatments for like 10% of the normal price cuz im the one doing it

Its like different panels with different stuff to do, 5 minutes each

So one panel will test you on your manual dexterity, another will ask what you would do in a specific situation, another will give you an image and you have to describe it to the interviewer who is hypothetically blind

That sorta thing

Wont say which uni, but im currently doing biomed (the one every med/dentist reject does :KEKW:)

However i plan on switching over to pharmacology/pharmacy next year

how much would I have to pay, I'm in canada n luckily insurance is amazing; but if they're overcharging like shit i lwk cannot b paying allat

do they tell insurance it's for medical reasons or do they js make u pay outta pocket (I'd assume it's diff for all of them, so don't reply if it's diff)

Yeah, it was genuinely the worst exam i had to study for in my life

You cant just learn content and practice like you do for other exams. You just have to keep doing practice tests over and over and hope you will see a positive difference in score

they cant just larp, u have to have a convincing case for insurance to cover anything

damn, maybe i js go to a ortho when i become an adult n get the bread up; for now there's not much I can do aside from gettings damon braces and maybe a rapid palate expander

You probably did good I’m assuming since you got interviews. Will you still try to pursue it?

Yeah i did good thankfully, if i didnt it would have felt like a complete waste of a summer

Im currently a bit stuck on whether i should still pursue it or not though, especially since the NHS is going to complete shit

I think you should pursue it. If the NHS fails, you’ll likely still have private practice and an American style system would take its place. Pay would greatly increase. I think reform wants to dismantle the NHS as well.

What A levels did you do ? I’m guessing something along the lines of maths, chemistry and biology?

I’ll look into it more, plus i remember i did my work experience at a private dental practice and it was so much better in comparison to the dental work at my local nhs hospital

Also I did chem and bio yes

Ended up doing art as a third subject cause its one of the only things im actually talented at. I enjoy it but god the coursework was genuinely a nightmare

Yeah it’s good to do something you’re talented at. I always liked and was good at maths so I did maths and further maths too. Although I wasn’t gifted at it at all after struggling for maths admissions tests.

I had some friends who did maths and further maths too, iirc they basically did the entire maths spec first and then moved onto further maths which is wild to me
