It sounds good in theory tbh, but there are still significant risks.

For example the distractors would need to be placed absolutely perfect and symmetrically on the left and right side aswell as mandible and maxilla. Because ottherwise if you would go for larger advancement your jaws would end up asymmetrical and in completely fucked up positions, and then you can say good bye

Yes don't have that mentality, I speak from experience. Nerve damage is no joke, my lower lip is that much pins and needles on the right side that I haven't dared to touch it for over a year now
