Fuaarkk I get strains so often from having to extend my fingers and shit. If I had a bigger and stronger thumb I could easily keep a good hold and still feel comfortable

I never had any problems reaching on the fret-board, my fingers are pretty long. The real problem was doing barre chords, it kills my fingers.

Same holy shit but tbh the best way to deal with it is just strenghtening the muscles and practicing. Maybe try training your grip with a bag of rice/sand
