I just did the math. With $2M you could generate $70K/yr in passive income and safely escape the rat race. Being a millionaire isn't enough. You need to be multimillionaire to esacpe the rat race in a Western Country. You could do it with only $1M if you chose to geomaxx to LatAm or SEA.

i've done the math too I only need 400-500k in a LCOL city after I pay off a house so really more like 700-800k or less if housing prices drop
