If I sleep during the day, can I sleep less during the night?

Even when I try and sleep in one continuous sleep (8h), my body wakes me up at least once in between, usually 2-3 times each sleep. It sucks having your body wake you up during your sleep and struggling or being unable to go back to sleep. Ruins your whole day when you can’t get back to sleep because you feel like shit

Often times I nap for a couple hours during the night and then I don’t need as much sleep during the day to feel ok. Usually I sleep during the day and am awake at night

I worked a night shift one time for a few months, it lowkey drives me insane tho and the people... they are the worst.

Yeah night shift people often times do suck, but I can only sleep on a nightshift schedule so it means I can’t work dayshift jobs. Any time I tried to work dayshift, I’d never get to sleep early enough to actually get enough sleep before work no matter how long I tried.

I just have a lot of struggles in life
