a girl can have anorexia, and socially be respected still, but if a boy, has anorexia, then he will be insulted, treated like a trash can, possibly be beat and bullied, why? double standards
the same goes for depression or self harm, with the difference as a male you'll be looked at like some kind of weird abomination or freak
the amount of times i got side eyes while being in patient, or in the ward is uncountable, I lived it on my body, it's so humiliating
please, let's not forget disorders ARE NOT gender specific. and every1 can be go through mental difficulties, not only girls, or males, or wtv
