familiarity bias, people are bias towards they're own looks because they've been looking at their failos for their entire life and it's been normalized in their mind
Meanwhilst other people look at you as a clean slate

Also, for "just go by how you're treated"
People don't know how Chad is actually treated because how they're treated is so normal to them. They don't know if it's bad, aka they're ltn, normal, aka mtn, or very good, aka htn or over

I can even apply the theory to myself. At first I knew something was off but didnt think about it that much, now with more knowledge and dedication to my own appearance, I can definitely say, that I need an undereye Blepharoplasty.

I have a failo that I thought was bad and my main failo
After multiple ratings, and morphs of me made by PSLers, it's clear to me now it's not even that bad, and removing it would be negligible
Meanwhilst some specific failos are quite noticable by them, ones that, to me, were just part of my face

If I was someone else looking at my face for the first time, and I was rating, I'd notice them immediately

Maybe familiarity bias just doesn't affect you that much

Fair enough, never got my face rated by anyone. But if I would, I would definitely get it done by reputable users, that have decent knowledge.
