if I can find a job that pays 10 dollars (above minimum wage where I live) and work 12 hours a day, without spending a single cent each day, I'd still have to wait 3.5 years to afford surgery

Yeah. Just look into it. Also I would recommend, if you do clipping (what I didn’t do) to make like 4 accounts. Yuo can automate the processes, but I’m not that into clipping, to give you much advice rn
