I've heard about that, it's nothing but ambiguous passages that could conveniently be interpreted through a scientific lens if you look hard enough and play with words. Not only are they not clear enough, they don't present any sort of impressive or useful knowledge that could only come from a deity and most of all, say absolutely nothing about the fact that there is a deity that sent a prophet to propagate its word in the middle east. You can't use isolated passages that are "scientific" to validate some external deity that is the main narrative of the book.
