I would recommend trying it. I would stay away from SSRI's, as they actually have been known to exasperate depression rather then help. The whole "chemical imbalance" of the brain thing is wholly false so don't listen to what your psychiatrist says. Mental illness is such a relative thing that they have to keep creating new illnesses to pull more money out of people. It's mostly a sham.
