Lately, I’ve been noticing and paying attention to behaviors in my friends that I think are wrong. I pick up on a lot of details in how they relate to other people, in the things they say, and in how they act in general, and sometimes they do things that are really not okay.
I try to be a sincere person and tell them, to bring it up, to talk about what I think they’ve done wrong. But most people would rather have someone who tells them what they want to hear and stays on their side instead of someone honest who tells them things to their face.
I feel like I’m losing friends simply because I try to be honest with them. On top of that, I find it really hard to tolerate those small behaviors that I see as completely wrong or even harmful toward others.
I don’t have any idea on where the line is between being a good person or not, or to what extent I should distance myself from friendships with people who do things I consider wrong.
