My results from the application of neuropsychological testing of any kind came in earlier than I expected. The professional that evaluated me told me she was going to send me the results via mail in October 1st but she sent them today (September 18th 2026).
For now I'm gonna leave you with the quantitative results of my WAIS-IV (IQ) results.
Full Scale IQ: 100, which is average, the exact middle of the population. The report says this number should be interpreted with caution, because my scores differ a lot across areas. It's more useful to look at each index separately.
The evaluation also covered autism-related questionnaires and empathy measures. The GADS scores were not clinically significant, the Asperger questionnaire prerequisites were not met, and empathy came out low. The psychologist nevertheless concluded that, combined with my developmental history, my profile is compatible with autism spectrum disorder (F84.0). The report notes this should be confirmed with psychiatry.
The gap between my verbal score (125) and my non-verbal score (89) is large, about 36 points. I have to discuss it with my neurologist or psychiatrist at my follow-up, since it's a meaningful part of my profile.
At the moment, until my psychiatrist send me further tests, I still don't know 100% whether I am autistic or not. ✌

Strengths
- Verbal skills are my standout strength. Vocabulary (15) and Information (14) were both high average, and Similarities (12) was average-to-high. This is roughly the top 5% of people my age (19).
- Memory is good. My recall of the Rey Complex Figure was high average, and my verbal learning curve (CVLT) rose steadily, with adequate delayed recall and recognition.
- Language, working memory, processing speed, and visual-spatial skills were all in the expected range.
- Most executive functions were preserved, including flexibility, monitoring, and generating strategies.
Areas of relative weakness
- Non-verbal reasoning (Matrices, 7) was my lowest WAIS score, and it pulled down the Perceptual Reasoning index.
- Sustained and selective attention (D2 test) was low average, with more omission errors during long tasks and fluctuating performance.
- Inhibitory control (Stroop) had more errors than expected.
- Planning efficiency (Tower task) needed more moves than expected.
- I was slower to copy the Rey figure, though the quality of the copy was high.
