The shroud of Turin is not hard evidence and while once thought to be debunked, evidence suggests that the original analysis is incorrect yet the claims are still not substantial enough to call it evidence and I am a skeptic. I do however agree that Jesus Christ fulfilled MANY a prophecy from the old testament which was written ages before the events described in the new testament. The "proof" we have of those things happening is secular writings or pagans knowing what early christians believed in and died for. Which for at the time is pretty compelling since you have witnesses of those events, and that movement stirring up people with different beleifs who knew what they believed in. There's much more to it all but put together I think its compelling

So basically the NT is a collection of everything that happened according to believers (different authors) compiled in one not so neat text. Thats many eyewitness accounts who all died for what they believed in.
