Since i got my girl who's giga social and talkative i've tried to copy her in some instances and failed brutally. When my uncle asked me how i was doing i told him some stuff and then asked him how he was doing, then he just went quiet for like 2 sec and asked me about my bike. Its like wtf am i doing wrong.

I'm mentally crippled from years of being a skinny khhv bullied manlet and trying to be nice with bad feedback so that now that i have everything i need to be a social and friendly person i cant rly use it.

Best advice I ever got on this was to actually (at least pretend) to be curious about someone and ask them good questions instead of just pointless small talk

I think this is what makes it work for extroverted people. They're genuinly interested like my girl for example she really wants to get to know my family so she asks them like a million questions and make them feel all special meanwhile i never talk to hers if i have a choice because i find those kinds of convos rly boring and i'm also scared of fucking up by being weird/boring.

That’s your problem then, it’ll never come naturally to you I doubt (I agree with you it’s boring and idgaf about most people) but practicing this will make it a lot easier

You only ask this question if you have the upper hand in a conversation. Also if you have already given a response to something prior to asking this, you should wait for the person to give feedback to your response or at least wait a second, then ask this

Never manufacture a personal conversation beforehand, just read the room and be confident. If there's a few seconds pause then who cares, think of a question you would like to ask and ask it. Don't just ask for the sake of asking. My 2 cents
