This forum is made of 14 to 18 yo teenagers, so at 21 I'm a fossilized creature here. The age dynamics are too exaggerated and cartoonish, of course. Having registered at 2019 my account is older than maybe, Idk, 80% of the current users and this fact was brought up by some user recently, confirming it's not all in my head.
I registered on Lookism.net at April 2019, which makes me even older. I remember guys like the Argentinian goodlooking fella who registered 3 weeks to 1 month after me and surfed a huge hype because of how handsome and memeable he was. I remember Brazillian legend Deliciadecu and his chich, insightful channel Attraction Theory. Attraction Theory, by the way, stems from Looks Theory, the channel who introduced me to lookism content and I'm sure the younger zoomers on this haven't got the chance to know.
I mewed before people knew what the hell it was. Nowadays, I read stories of little kids from English classes telling their teacher someone is mewing and the other kid going to correct them saying "no, mewing is like this!".
I surfed the trend of chewing 5 to 10 bubblegums at once to train your masseter and theorically develop a wide, square jaw, until WAW5 by FaceandLMS came out and made me realize it's shaped by bone, not masseter. A friend of mine had outward pointing gonions and the sides of his jaw looked huge and I thought it was masseter up until October 2019 when that video came out.
I popularized in my class terms such as "chad", "abdul", "tyrone" 1 to 5 years before they went mainstream ("abdul" and "tyrone" aren't mainstream to this day). I saw "mog", "beta", "it's over" and many more of the incel lingo and lexicon ascend as terms employed in a large-ass chain by an array of people.
I saw the meme of Gigachad gain a huge mainstream following in mid-2020. I remember playing Halo 2 at July 2020 and thinking about how my friend, who I tried to protect from the blackpill (which he wouldn't take well), posted about the Gigachad meme on his status and how we're doomed now that people know this shit.
I'm an old soul, I was born old, so since I'm a kid I feel great being the first to get to a then underground media and through the years that stuff popularizes. Happened with Rick and Morty (2017), Sophie Ellis-Bextor (2024), The Boys (2019), and many others.
