Im socially retarded

Earlier today i went to an interview for a school im trying to get into and it was my first time talking to people other then my close friends in like 2 months so i acted so fucking retarded, i have not had problems with confidence for ages like i can easily talk publicly but for some reason i was just so nervous, i was constantly making sure i was standing correctly or making sure i was smiling to put on a good impression, this shit is disgusting.
im not even that ND, does anyone have any idea why i reacted this way or maybe if you have experienced similar situations, i would love to improve as its becoming a problem.
