Your jaw won't move on its own after the surgery. But a perfect occlusion can be ruined if you stop wearing your retainer because the jaw's natural position doesn't result in a perfect occlusion, so you need a retainer that you put on every night to force it to remain in the right place. If you don't use your retainer, the jaw remains in the same way, you don't become recessed again if you were before but when you clench your teeth, they won't be properly aligned so it will look weird and ugly.

research said otherwise.

you always talk big without knowing/research enough. why?

jaw indeed can relapse. it's proven. i'm not saying this in a negative way like "it's over" i'm just stating the fact that it's not very easy to change, actually it's really hard to change skeleton

Imagine thinking that a device (MSE) made out of TITANIUM that is literally screwed into your skull CAN FAIL to split the suture, and even if it sucessfully does split, IT BENDS and the screws GET DRAGGED TROUGH THE BONE by the sheer force APPLIED 24/7 that is needed to expand your thick fucking skull, imagine thinking that you can do this + more just in few hours a day with your tongue

Man, someone so stupid couldnt even exist right?

Yes, it can relapse, if the surgery was botched, I did forget to mention that, but if you pick a good surgeon, that will never happen. I have read scary stories about people who had to do the surgery 5 times because they had a terrible surgeon. It can also relapse if you break your jaw in a car accident. When I said that it won't, I was talking about the majority, not everyone.

All this talk about surgery but none of you will ever get it

Notice how people who are good at mewing already have a good jawline to begin with

I have this retainer thing on my top teeth and bottom teeth its like these wires thing, but I don't feel them at all

will they put that on me after my jaw surgery

The idea is that the surgery results wouldn't relapse if proper oral posture was practiced afterward to retain the advancement. Relapse occurs because the bad habits that caused poor development in the first place aren't corrected.

How common are jaw surgeries to somehow end in disaster? My jaw is like first pic and really thinking about changing.

Also, are they weaker, stronger or the same in therms of resistance when taking punches or other impacts compared to natural jaw?
