The big issue is that the next generations will be genetically altered and improved: Taller, stronger, faster, better looking, smarter. Perhaps they'll have extra traits like being able to perceive time or visualize more than 3 dimensions, telepathy, telekinesis or being inherently compatible with organic technology or some shit.. And you'll be stuck in the old hardware. You'll be the nokia 3310 while your neighbor is an iphone 20 pro max.
