Seems like this is such a controversial topic in this group - and to be honest, I think in most cases filler looks better and seems to be a more reliable way to specifically fix the lower third of the face.

However, due to practicality, I would prefer to get implants. I do think the filler migration argument is valid and certainly scares me a bit (although probably exaggerated).

The thought of getting implants, and not having to get filler done every 1-2 years just appeals to me more.

try bonesmashing first just trust

Ironically, you might need fillers on top of implants to get the desired sharpness and angularity.
Implants are a crapshoot, so you might even need fillers to add volume, because the implants don't end up filling your face as much as planned.
It's not always a case of "either-or" with clear antagonistic options.

Tldr filler is best for first timers, implants + diy filler for maximum results! : )

I myself have tried both approaches, and I'd say filler is definitely the better move for younger men that are less financially fortunate for sure. It's not only easy to diy, but hyaluronidase exists to prevent migration and/or botched jobs (highly unlikely unless you're sub room temp iq and don't understand what your facial harmony could use a boost in), it's reversible, and you can always upgrade to implants if you decide you want to have a more sustainable long term option. In my opinion it's best to get filler done first either through a clinic or buying some yourself ($500-$700 per ml depending on reputation of said clinic, or as low as $25 and usually ends up around $30-$40 buying it yourself). As someone already mentioned in this thread that you do have to get filler on top of implants for extra touchups, so implants are definitely not always guaranteed results and I'd personally suggest to first go through that phase before looking into anything more long term/costly.

My own experience from having done both implants and filler has only brought good results from the latter, yes I've botched myself a bit here and there but the asymmetry is so small it's not very noticeable or being subconsciously registered by normies anyways due to people generally developing in similar ways growing up, and touchups are quite easy to do, in fact I've given myself entire inches of projection only to dissolve them and redo the process for less than a single syringe would cost me at any clinic.

No I don't have any issues with my custom implants I've had done, however they were a relatively common procedure done for that specific part of my face, and I will occasionally throw in about half a ml to smooth the ridges a bit due to lacking facial fat there but I've never had any issues with it to this day.

lol implants are permanent they mog fillers. Fillers are the worst possible idea, just get implants.

Not even a debate.

Get filler first since it will take years of planning to get implants and depending on your goals you might end up needing filler with your implants as well

I had fillers they are cope. You look good for a couple of weeks. When the swelling goes away you basically look the same

Also they cost a lot. I was naive in the surgery world and lost lot of money
