you should also do it from a strength prespective.

i don’t think you can do them long enough to affect the wrist

you have to do something for hours like construction work
 
I've been doing hanging on bar for almost a year now, almost every day, averaging 10 minutes per day divided into several sets, until grip failure. My wrist went from 16cm to 16.75cm (should also add I was very sick and malnutritioned before. And I know the size is very bad, but still). Grip strength increased a lot and shoulders condition improved, less problems with trauma-induced impingement. Was able to regain like 1.25-1.5cm of height which were lost after years of lower activity and sitting in front of PC, plus added like 0.5cm more (and increased morning height by like 2.5cm in total). If you have a sedentary job, like me, I recommend doing it. Doesn't take too much time but provides benefits.

cope more retard. my wrists gained almost an inch by me going to the gym every day for a year and two months now
