My maxilla looks a little bit strange, as the lower part of the maxilla, closer to my lips, is more protruding than the the upper part of my maxilla, closer to my nose, I feel like this is one of the biggest facial flaws holding me back, it makes me look recessed, and creates a sub optimal facial convexity. I was wondering if this was caused by my retarded habits when I was young such as sucking my thumb? Is there and fixes besides braces? I have had braces for 2 years already, and it has not changed my side profile, so I fear it is a problem with my bone structure and not my teeth, although that was likely part of the problem. What should I do?

If it has not changed in 2 years, go to orthognaic surgeon
