Infras with Dr. Ramieri

I’m currently saving up for infraorbital implants and I’m considering going to Dr. Ramieri instead of Eppley, mainly because of the price difference. From what I’ve seen, Ramieri mentioned that custom silicone infraorbital implants would be around 10k€, whereas with Eppley it’s more like 16–18k€, which is a pretty big gap.


So I wanted to ask:


Does anyone here have experience with Ramieri, specifically for infraorbital implants only? And has anyone had custom silicone implants done by him?

I feel like there are way fewer reviews and results online compared to Eppley, so I’d really appreciate any insights or personal experiences.

Yes I had them done, be very careful with his design cause can easily turn out unideal since his Italian company aren’t very good imo

Wym I had peek, but silicone on infras are fine and can actually look better then peak in some ways

Its very case dependant, but ask some knowledgable here first when you get the drafts for the design. Also the design is allways dependant on akin etc too, thickness of diffrent areas and such.

I mean giant are doing 360s on his designs all the time. His new thing is to have no saddle at all. I think he is good but he obv botched the design on people in the past. But i agree that the italian company is a bit weird sith the designs(its a girl who designs them btw). But i overall i dont know if giant is better even

isn't saddle the most important section of the implant to get more vertical support and getting rid of scleral show while also addressing the lower protrusion of the eyeball a bit without going for orbital decompression?

the getting rid of schleral show is kinda true and kinda not true depending on the case, why it might seem that way is because many surgeons combine lower eyelid retraction surgery at the same time

And btw many oculoplastics say that it's the implant itself that helps for scleral show not the saddle, so if you get an effect you can get it with non-saddled implant too. I have seen off the shelf silicone tear trough implants fixing scleral show lol.

i mean fat graft itself can improve schleral show with upto 1,5 mm so anything that gives support can do it

Whats ur opionion on supraorbitals? my brow ridge is weak i dont have sclera so i think i will stay with 2x fat grafts session for infras

I do consider lower eyelid retraction, the problem is that the section where the scleral show was visible will have a shadow indicating the eyeball due to lack of infraorbital support or slight protrusion of the eye (think of Henry Cavil eye area, no scleral show but lack of infraorbital support nonetheless), and if the supraorbital section looks fine I think an implant is a much better and safer option rather than orbital decompression. I was saying that saddle may be the best way to offer this support.
