Whether you're just trying to look good for a social circle you're in, or you just want to build a brand around yourself, How your Instagram looks matters a lot. Around 3 billion people use Instagram daily, most of them being from the age of 14 to 34 (which is the same age group as the looksmaxxing community.)
If your Instagram profile looks trash, many people might not even try to lay eyes on it, which makes you miss out on a lot, such as new people in your circle or women, (ESPECIALLY WOMEN) so why miss out on a chance of meeting new people?
Instagrammaxxing is pretty simple actually, It is not as hard as many people make it out to be.
THE FOUNDATION - SETTING UP YOUR PROFILE
Setting up your profile the right way will make you more presentable online, (even making you look more mature sometimes)
1. The handle/nickname
Make sure your Instagram handle is close to your actual name. Don't use a random letters and numbers and don't use some shitty phrases or anything edgy/corny. also don't include anything political or religious in your nickname.
EXAMPLES (if your name is john doe as an example)
A BAD USERNAME: johnfoidslayer14, 14aryanbeast88, imanincelandihatewomen, ihatebeckiesiwantastacy
A GOOD USERNAME: john.doe, john.2k, john2000, johnhasfallen (if you still want to reference something)
(Although you understand that those bad usernames are satirical, some people actually have horrible nicknames like that. One of my old friends handle used to be something close to supremearyan. Don't be like that retard )
people will most likely be searching for you using your name, so it's important to have at least your name in your nickname.
Also make sure to add your first name as your name lol. don't put something stupid there.
2. The Profile Picture
Profile picture is truly important. picture superiority effect is real, and you can not run away from it.
The best option for it would be to use your face as it would be the easiest way for people to find you if you meet them online. If you are insecure about your face, (which you probably are, since you're on this website) use the filters lol some of those TikTok filters genuinely do magic.
If you're going to use yourself or your face in general make sure you're not doing sum bullshit.
There are few types of profile pictures, and here's my ranking of them:
1. Your face
2. You doing something (like reading, working
3. A character from a movie or a show, or a book
4. A cartoon character (don't put something childish as your pfp if you're over the age of 16, please.)
5. An Album cover (this highly depends on the genre, most of those black metal album covers go hard)
6. A video game character (some of these are genuinely hard)
7. An artist or an influencer (this also depends on the person, don't some shitty looking dude on your pfp please)
8. A writer or a philosopher (this depends on the picture and the person, don't put someone like hegel as your pfp no one knows who Hegel is if they don't read books about philosophy)
DON'T USE THESE
1. Your childhood pictures - These types of people are usually perceived as annoying, immature and shitty in general.
2. A political/historical/religious figure - Please don't put Hitler or an SS soldier as your pfp. Don't put someone like the pope as your pfp either. Will either get you ignored or banned
3. A controversial figure - in general just don't, it will cause problems. Same as a political and historical figure, it will get you ignored or banned.
4. Religious and political symbols - I mean a cross is okay, but nobody really cares about the religion you follow, they want to see who you are and what you're interested in.
The whole thing behind the profile pictures is that it has to make you look interesting. The Picture superiority effect plays a huge role in this.
If you don't want to use your face, you can find good quality images on google and Pinterest (I highly recommend using Pinterest, since it has shit ton of images you can use as your pfp, plus they're high quality).
3. The Bio (biography)
Most of the time people leave it as blank, or put some bullshit there like a shitty joke. Your bio might change a lot on how you're perceived by people clicking on your account.
Keep your Bio simple, don't write a ton there. The easiest thing you can probably write there is your age, nationality and the city you live in. A simple small quote is also pretty good, if it does help with showing who you are.

Nobody cares about your favorite things to do, and your name and your last name will most likely be known by people already looking at your page by looking at your handle and name you added.MUSIC CHOICE TO ADD TO YOUR BIO
This also matters a lot, since your taste in music influences how you're perceived by people. Choose something classy and calm, don't add anything too aggressive. You will be seen as a calm person, and this will help you ALOT.
It can be rap, metal, rock, classical music, punk any genre you like as long as it's calm and doesn't make someone jump from turning it on accidentally
FOLLOWERS VS FOLLOWING RATIO - HOW TO NOT BE SEEN AS A LOSER
The ideal followers vs following ratio is having more followers then the following.
AS AN EXAMPLE: 100 FOLLOWERS 90 FOLLOWING
MAKE SURE THAT THE FOLLOWING IS NOT BIGGER THAN YOUR FOLLOWERS MULTIPLIED BY 2
Why?
It makes you look like a loser. It's understandable that You would like to follow your favorite artists, and your favorite brands or athletes, but make sure that you don't follow a lot of them
Your following followers shouldn't look like this:
AS AN EXAMPLE: 100 FOLLOWERS 700 FOLLOWING
It makes you look like someone who sits on their phone a lot and doesn't do anything else (even if this is true why would you want people to think that about you?) which we don't want.
DON'T OVERDO IT - DON'T HAVE 100 FOLLOWERS AND 0 FOLLOWINGS
Makes you look like you're a fucking narcissist prick who only cares about himself. It's not worth it. Make sure to follow people back
POSTING - HOW TO POST CORRECTLY
Posting or uploading things on your story makes sure that your profile isn't dry like a fucking dessert. Also it helps you make sure people find out what you like and what you take interest in
1. Don't Overpost
Having a freshly started account with 20 posts or 40 stories makes you look performative. Post like once or twice a month, and upload stories whenever you want. Just don't overdo it.
2. Don't Shitpost
Shitposting makes you look like a kid who just found about posting and uploading stories. If you want to share funny memes or interesting videos, don't post them, upload them on your story. Don't upload 10s of them, make sure you post maximum of five a day.
3. Create Close Friends list
If you still want to post more, or want to post a specific meme that you don't want someone to see, create a close friends list. One it makes sure that someone you don't want to doesn't see a story of yours.
Also you can make someone feel special lol, like a girl you find attractive.
GROWTH - GROW YOUR PROFILE
There's no point in posting or uploading stories if nobody sees them lol
1. Follow people you know
This is the easiest way to grow your account. You can add your friends, acquaintances, family, and just people you know. This will help you grow and will also make it easier to find people from your area, (if your friends live in your area) school, university, college, work and much more. It's practically guaranteed that these people will follow you back, making your account grow.
2. Don't trust online bots and methods
Although they might work (some of them do really work) buying your followers and using bots to grow your account is not worth it. It will either shadowban your account or ban it completely.
If you don't care, you can buy followers, or use the Celebrity method
Celebrity method includes following around 150 big accounts of famous people (you can take the list from anywhere, just search up top 200 followed accounts on instagram and follow them all) in the hopes of people who follow anyone that's suggested to you following your account. While this MIGHT work, it's not recommended since it will get you shadowbanned.

4. Post good photos and good stories (matters a lot, you can use filters to make yourself look better but Don't overuse them)
5. Have less followings than followers (don't make the ratio huge, will make you look like an attention seeking prick),
6. Don't follow a lot of accounts (will make you look like a loser)
7. Don't post a lot, but don't post nothing at all
8. follow the people you know, friends, acquaintances
9. Don't post sum bullshit on your page
10. Don't be a retard
