Intelligence =/= enlightenment

I see a lot of people who believe if someone is high IQ (150+) they automatically become a Ted Kazinsky who sees past all the bullshit and forms their own enlightened understanding of the world.

In reality this can be true sometimes, however most high IQ people still seek other’s approval and often end up jerking off a book in some university for 14 years, while never even noticing or caring about bigger patterns happening around them. Many simply adopt the political/social ideology of their peers without a second thought.

I know people think bieng high IQ somehow makes aware and immune to social pressures.
