I just got an idea about a compound called lactoferrin. This is a substance that you can take as a supplement, and it is found in human and cow milk. This substance has been tested on rats and it is shown to increase osteoblasting but decrease osteoclasts. This is great for height increase during adolescence. However, it actually could be bad for improving Ccw rotation and forward growth. The increase in osteoblasts could help your bones remodel if your are reccessed, however it could also counter Ccw rotation due to reduce in osteoclasts. (Osteoclasts are the breakdown of bones). Osteoclasts are necessary for changing the position of the maxilla, because bones in the face have to break down and also build back up (osteoblasts) to help counter recession. So, what I am getting at here is that if you want to achieve Ccw rotation, supplementing lactoferrin could actually end up being bad. Am I an idiot or does anyone else agree? Because I am an adolescent and I’m trying to improve maxilla projection but also grow taller, and lactoferrin might be good for overall bone growth but bad for Ccw rotation.
