Invisalign at 17

Basically my teeth are ok. Don’t have any over/underbite whatever only thing is i have slight gaps at the front upper teeth but nothing major tho. A few month ago my doctor suggested i get invisalign for a few months , he said it’ll benefit my teeth.
Y’all think it’s a good idea and could ascend me abit or could it damage me. Thx
