INVISALIGN LOOKSMIN, can someone explain?

His mandible looks to have shrunken in width. Is this because they narrowed his dental arch? How can this be prevented when doing braces / Invisalign? And furthermore, how can I communicate this to my ortho?

Well his teeth show in the smile have increased so it doesnt follow that the dental arch has become narrow

If your assessing bigonial width off this photo it isn't accurate to make a judgement since the photos havent been standardised in any relevant plane (NHP or FHP)
