I went to an orthotropic ortho and hes going to put me through invisalign. But then i learned Invisalign could possibly ruin facial aesthetics, john mew outright Invisalign and even without extractions and elastic can ruin the face.

My Invisalign treatment is only gonna be 6 months and its only a minor correction so i find it hard to believe major damage could be done idk tho

'im curious about this. I read that invisalign pulls the top teeth back if you have an overbite. Surely that's the last thing you want? (ANY teeth being 'pulled back'!?)

Bump, im having a 6 month treatment aswell im worried about any possibility it could effect my facial aesthetic any updates?

I went and talked to my ortho who is an orthotropic practicing ortho, he said that Invisalign wont cause recession unless elastics or tooth extraction is used.

Orthos wont use braces for minor cases cause its kinda pointless you cant move individual teeth with braces you move every single tooth not to mention braces take way longer. And also are a major looksmin for men.

Wearing braces makes you look worse dawg it is massive hunks of metal on your teeth and is associated with being a nerd for men. Most men look worse with braces, the ones who dont are hyper attractive so it doesnt matter.

Jesus, wether or not it is a looksmin from a facial structure standpoint is dependent on the treatment process. But from a stylistic or purely accessory view yes it makes you look worse, if i took a poll almost 100 percent of people would agree that men look better without braces .

ye could like "recess" your maxilla, but depends on your case, for me it overall improved my looks cuz my teeth were fucking horrible, but its okay wouldnt rlly think much of it
