Invisialine with rubber bands

I have a bit of a cross bite due to a tooth on one side so they wanna use rubber bands to fix it with Invisalign. They said it won’t recess anything because it’s a dental issue but I find it hard to believe. They are just pulling my teeth back no extraction. They said it would widen my smile arch too.
