saw a 16 year old Indian kid get a job as a quant dev for citadel, and have an iq above the 99th percentile. actually insane.

It's like the least brutal pill of all. Would you rather be him or be chad? Even if you'd prefer his status, you're not accounting for the lesser life satisfaction high iq typically yields.

The abstract literally says that they defined the 120–129 IQ group as high IQ. That's around the top 10%, excluding the top 2%. Obviously, people who are slightly above average are going to be happier than average. The real negative implications don't arise until you get much further from the mean. It's not even remotely comparable to someone in the 99.9th or, hell, even the 99th percentile in terms of IQ. People with an IQ of 120 are still normies; they'll relate to normies and largely think like normies. Their IQ will just help them live a more comfortable life. That guy is obviously smarter than the range used in the study, so it's not relevant.

true ig, but what makes you think the people of 99.9% intelligence are living horrible lives, is it overthinking or sometbing else

The worst pill is the heightpill and it's not even close

QD's not even that hard to get (relatively speaking) unlike QR and QT (quant research and quant trading)
You don't need IQ above 99th percentile for QD, and this is also true for QR and QT if you are a girl

Imagine being unattractive and hyper-aware of your faults. No amount of money can fix that. High intelligence correlates with higher inhibition and reduced risk-taking, and is correlated with ND/autism.

The best (realistically speaking for most people) is moderately high intelligence, good socio-emotional skills, and decent (HMTN or HTN) looks and height

It’s not rly an iq pill there tbh. It’s more a brutal upbringing pill and not having parents who forced you at the age of five to begin coding and accelerated maths. The vast majority of high IQs said scenario isn’t occurring simply cause they didn’t have early exposure. Prolly just have an iq of 130 is sufficient
