is 15 to late for hyrax expander?

my ortho said that i dont really need it that braces would be okay but i beg her and he said that i can get hyrax max but im 14 and 11 months and im not sure if it isnt to late for it what should i tell her to get a marpe maybe or just let me know if hyrax would be okay

hyrax is same as marpe but without cutting your maxilla cause when you are younger your bone isnt fused yet so the hyrax is enough but it can be fused at 15 so thats why i dont want to risk for an hyrax expander
