average doctor salary is like $350 000CAD or 257 2272 SEKYou could probably go in to finance and make a lot of money, don’t know how much you really make as a doctor in Canada but in Sweden you don’t make as much as you should for your education, you could also use family contacts to find where in your life you should go work wise that’s a big part why I’m going into finance

Yeah if your good in finance or tech you already have a huge advantage when it comes to money success, but still be carful when it comes to the lifestyle where you take a lot of drugs and that kinda stuff know some people who it has happened tothis

That’s really good for a yearly salary of your ready for all the hard work that goes into being a doctor you should think about it, working with plastic surgery and private company’s might make you earn more moneyaverage doctor salary is like $350 000CAD or 257 2272 SEK
Yeah that’s true but if you become the top 1% in finance you make more than the 1% in the medical field but the medical filed might be more safebut avrg doctor in canada makes more than avrg accountant or cs jobs
4 year degree and low stressbut avrg doctor in canada makes more than avrg accountant or cs jobs
i cba about partying and drugs tbh, I feel like I would be able to manage the stress of studying and stuff4 year degree and low stress
or
your entire 20s and constant high stress during school and after school
yea exactly, like initially wanted to be a real estate agent or business owner but there's more risk and shit too thatYeah that’s true but if you become the top 1% in finance you make more than the 1% in the medical field but the medical filed might be more safe
highest paying job in my country too, and I do have the will power to study and shit like thatIt depends, in my country this is the highest paid job
You have to study a lot but I'd do if I had the minimum amount of will.
it's not even about the partying and drugs man but your overall quality of life.i cba about partying and drugs tbh, I feel like I would be able to manage the stress of studying and stuff
Yeah exactly so it’s more if you want to take a bit of a risk the reason why I’m going in to finance is cause I have some connections from family and friends and that stuff and I would not be able to become something like a doctor cause it would be to hard, if your thinking of becoming a doctor simply cause of money it might not be the smartest you kinda have to want to help people and that stuff to have motivation for the hardyea exactly, like initially wanted to be a real estate agent or business owner but there's more risk and shit too that
Yea true, still in high school this year so imma spend time deciding.it's not even about the partying and drugs man but your overall quality of life.
You would have more free time, start making money earlier, likely get more sleep, be able to invest more into yourself, and there would always be advancement on the horizon anyways.
I'm heavily motivated by money tbh, not even interested in helping ppl as a doctor jfl just doing it for the $$$Yeah exactly so it’s more if you want to take a bit of a risk the reason why I’m going in to finance is cause I have some connections from family and friends and that stuff and I would not be able to become something like a doctor cause it would be to hard, if your thinking of becoming a doctor simply cause of money it might not be the smartest you kinda have to want to help people and that stuff to have motivation for the hard
Get what you mean but I hope you can put up with the hard work without the motivation of helping people so just think about the money tbh, and use the money to get things you want and that kinda stuff as motivation imoI'm heavily motivated by money tbh, not even interested in helping ppl as a doctor jfl just doing it for the $$$
Yup, that's exactly the plan, I got 3 sciences next semester for school and ill see how well I am able to keep up with the grades and studying. If I get like 90s+ for all then ill do it, if not ill prob switch to something like a real estate agent.Get what you mean but I hope you can put up with the hard work without the motivation of helping people so just think about the money tbh, and use the money to get things you want and that kinda stuff as motivation imo
the average doctor also has way more student loan debt, works way more hours and spent way more of his youth studycelling. If you're high IQ just go into computer science or engineering. You'll have less debt and more time for yourself. I'd recommend studying to become a doctor if you have the passion and a trust fund to support you.but avrg doctor in canada makes more than avrg accountant or cs jobs
The housing business I really fun from what I heard and you can make some serious money, just do what you have the motivation to do, like just finding some fun or just to make money doesn’t matter as long as you have motivation imoYup, that's exactly the plan, I got 3 sciences next semester for school and ill see how well I am able to keep up with the grades and studying. the student debt in Canada is like half of what it is in America. Yea but the average engineer salary is just 100k here.the average doctor also has way more student loan debt, works way more hours and spent way more of his youth studycelling. med school is 4 years and $25k Cad per year, university tuition fee is 6k Cad a yearIs education in Canada not free?
wait nvm, its 13k for Canadian citizensmed school is 4 years and $25k Cad per year, university tuition fee is 6k Cad a year
No, it's not - medical students have an average debt of 100k or more after medical school. Is education in Canada not free?
Engineering opens doors for highly sought after jobs in consulting, investment banking, tech and so on - you don't necessarily have to work as an engineerthe student debt in Canada is like half of what it is in America. Yea but the average engineer salary is just 100k here.
i just want a job that pays 300kEngineering opens doors for highly sought after jobs in consulting, investment banking, tech and so on - you don't necessarily have to work as an engineer
Software engineering, management consulting and investment banking do, but you'll have to move to the US for such offers.i just want a job that pays 300k![]()
I Cba about female attention as I alr get plenty and im tall. I just want a job purely based off the money thats the only reason im considering a doctor cuz it pays wellIf in top 25% of looks, no not worth it. Being a doctor is most advantageous for high IQ guys between 20th and 60th percentile looks. The most reliable route for a slightly below average looking smart guy to score a decent female for LTR.
Being a doctor not only provides money. it provides status, and you can tell girls "I became a doctor because I wanted to help people", which some bitches get wet over.
Wtf man thanks for this response, much appropriate, you put more effort into typing this than I do on all of my assignments. This changed my whole point of veiw and I now think that being a doctor isn’t for me as I am only leaning towards it solely just for the salary it pays. Any other high paying job other than software engineer? I was thinking about real estate agent or lawyer, thoughts? Thanks.Being a doctor in canada worth it? depends on what you consider worth doing. that's a question that cant be answered be anyone but yourself.
becoming a doctor in Canada is one of the most difficult things to do. not just because it is an extremely work-intensive field but also because there are very few medical schools in Canada. you got like 17, and that is across the country with provinces prioritizing their own students.
You can take anything that you want as a bachelors but most applicants come from B.A science backgrounds. you have to get around a 3.9 GPA and above to be competitive with CARS, and other admission tests. You also have to shadow, get experience working in a medical capacity, get reference letters and have extracurriculars.
And you have to do extremely well on the MCAT which is just a general sciences test that a B.A in science would prepare you for the most. But the unfortunate reality is, the B.A in life sciences, biomedical is one of the most unemployable degrees to have. so you are betting 4 years of your life and $40 grand that you will get in.
If you are lucky enough to get an interview among people who are at the top percentiles of their classes, the tests do not end there. McMaster is probably the most ideal with their health sciences program resulting in the most medical school acceptances. to get into this program you need a 90+ average, but once you're in i've read that is comparatively easier than other programs like life science I. and McMasters MD program is only 3 years costing around $29, 000 a year.
McMasters interview has a lot of scenario like tests that you have to do well on to demonstrate you ethical, and problem solving ability which is a feat in itself.
you will be over 100 grand in debt before you even start your residency which can be from 3 years to 6 or 7 depending on the specialty. and depending on what profession you choose you have to pay a lot in insurance. for surgeons i think its like 30 000 a year.
And you have to go through medical school with some of the smartest, hardest working people in the country do well and start working. depending on how old you are now, you will be left behind by most of your friends who are already getting established in their careers.
Is it worth it? depends on why you want to become a doctor and you better have a good reason other than "wanting to help people." because why dont you become a nurse?
this is important because that is one of the first questions that they are going to ask you and you better have a good reason.
not trying to discourage you but this is what it is to become a doctor in canada. if you're only in it for the money you are better off with a software engineering degree because you cant start working right away after college and can make 6 figures comparatively quickly.
Becoming a doctor just for the money isn't the best route and the 300k professions require more time in residency.
yeah sorry man, my wpm is pretty high so i end up typing these books without really caring. i didn't mean to discourage you but i just wanted to outline what getting in is like. it is entirely possible. just really hard lol.Wtf man thanks for this response, much appropriate, you put more effort into typing this than I do on all of my assignments. Yeah no worries, id much rather a lobg detailed answer than a short one anyways. Yeah now im thinking that id be more passionate in real estate or lawyer than the medical field. But i feel like for real estate you won’t make much money unless u alr have good connections… on the other hand I think being a lawyer is more secure. But yeah, im probably not gonna go the medical rout cuz its really time consuming by the time im a doctor ill be 30, and dont have that much passion for it, my only motivation is the money.yeah sorry man, my wpm is pretty high so i end up typing these books without really caring. i didn't mean to discourage you but i just wanted to outline what getting in is like. it is entirely possible. just really hard lol.
lawyers get a lot of money, and so do software engineers, and DEFINITELY real estate. it all depends on what you're like and what you are willing to deal with for the money.
For a Software engineer you have be able to work on your own learn different languages, and be comfortably just being on the computer all day.
For Lawyers i dont really know, but you have to be someone who can argue for the rest of their lives. if you like debating then its perfect.
I dont really know anything about real estate but i have a friend who lives in a nice condo in toronto and drove a porshe at 20. but his mom was in real estate and got him in.
just research all the careers and just ask yourself a bunch of questions because i can summarize all the careers in one post. you could still go for medicine lol if you like the idea of treating people at an authoritative level. no rush either lol.
facts my guy, like fuck bettabuxxing in ur 30s. Also yeah id rather do something i am passionate about and make a bit less money than a doctor with alot of stress, and won’t be making money till late 20s - 30sI was considering becoming a doctor just because of the money too and med school is even free where I live but it’s probably not worth it, I’m aspie, and I don’t wanna work the rest of my life doing some shit I am actually not passionate about just for the money
If you're asking that question then the answer is no.In Canada.
