Is "Chinese oppression" just western propaganda?

Ok perhaps not outright "propaganda", but still probably a massive exagguration. Lets be real the Chinese government is at least working in the interests of its people even if they are authoritarian assholes. Odds are that if you are a good citizien in China and not a minority, chances are you get have a pretty decent life while also taking pride in your country. I've also seen polls from China taken from international organizations that say the majority of the middle class doesn't want democracy because they have seen how it "works" in the west.

Tbh I think people are just being bluepilled about China and that the elites just want people to not notice how badly the western system is actually failing. 20-30 years from now standards of living will be higher in China than in the west, and the government also probably less corrupt.

Go look at video footage taken from the country, that isn't part of the propaganda. You'll see teenagers playing WOW on their computers, clean streets with happy people eating food etc. Yes there are poverty areas in China but that is also true for the west. China is not the hellhole western propaganda says it is. Anti-china propaganda is no different from when the west demonizes any other country the elites don't like. People are just being sheep.

Interesting thought experiment: Seeing as PC bullshit doesn't exist in china, do you have more or less free speech in China than you do here? What about 10 years from now?

We are turning it something much much worse. The Chinese government is nationalistic and cares about its nation. Western leaders on the other hand are 100% soulless plutocrates who ONLY care about themselves. Hence why China will be a better place to live within 8-20 years.

Also note that unlike in the west, Chinese standard of living IS GROWING. So they aren't yet at the western level, but what are they like now compared to say, 20 years ago? What will they be 20 years from now? Especially compared to the west that is slowly turning into a shithole?

This basically confirms what I've suspected. Yes there are downsides to living in China but the country is nowhere near as bad to live in as we are told. I also love how some of the responses mention Chinese visiting the west and then being completely disillusioned with what they see.
