Although I do agree with you, you're still downplaying the role at which his looks are playing here.

The only reason why he gained this status in the looksmaxxing community to begin with was because of him being good looking. No he's not Chad PSL, but he's definitely well above average, enough to gather the attention of clueless children online and sell them "looksmaxxing methods". If he was just some normal looking dude or below average god-forbid, he would not have even a fraction of the popularity he has currently.

Even outside of this niche looksmaxxing space, status is still highly correlated with looks. The dude with the most social proof or talk amongst your classmates is on average always going to be better looking or taller. They're on average going to be more charismatic, due to positive reinforcement and having better-developed social skills because of that, but also just because good genes usually always come in a package.

With that being said though, you can't deny the existence of outliers. They exist everywhere, being ignorant of that is just delusion cope. But it doesn't change the strong predictability factor, status is almost always going to be correlated with some other genetic factor (physical attractiveness, height (as proven by many studies), intelligence, race/circumstances, etc).
