It still spikes insulin response
 
What does that mean and why is that bad?
Insulin blocks fat burning process, if you are in calorie deficit but for some reason your insulin levels are still high during cut you bodyweight will reduce but via lean tissue and not body fat which is bad

Or in case where insulin is still high but you are in calorie deficit you can end up not losing not only body fat but even total bodyweight bc body will decrease calories out (“metabolism”) and therefore you will be in calorie defecit according to the calculator you use but your body will lower the default calorie burning rates so you actually won’t be in a calorie deficit even though the calories in are still the same as before

Anybody talking about insulin affecting fat loss in 2022 is an idiot.

Calories in calories out. Eat less than you burn in a day, lose weight/fat. That simple.

But beyond weight, your body composition at that weight will be different (160 lbs skinny fat vs 160 lbs shredded) based off MACRONUTRIENTS within your calorie target, and of course lifting.

0.8 gs protein/lb to retain/build muscle, at least 50 gs of fat/day for optimal testosterone/hormones.

Why drink something with calories even if low when you can drink diet sodas, or energy drinks that contain 0 calories?

Instead of being triggered by something which doesn’t sound similar to “calories in calories out” and have an instant response you should be mentally able to comprehend the information/logic inside the message and then based on that info respond TO THAT MESSAGE not something you made up in your mind. No one here in this thread had an argument against the truth of CICO in the first place, so your reply was initially based on misunderstanding or lack of some sort of mental ability
