When you run out of things to critique but something just doesn't look right, harmony is the fallback word

Hypothetically fixing flaws would lead to greater harmony but there's no harmonoplasty or harmony implants. In any form or criticism from movies to food there's always fallback words or phrases people use when they can't pinpoint why they don't like something. If someone doesn't have clear flaws to fix then surgery also risks ruining harmony

"The directors vision wasn't realized", "the dish mouthfeel was wrong"," the game suffered from ludonarritive dissonance"

Is there more to the term harmony than "shit man, idk what criticize but something don't look right bro"?

alot of looksmax critique are cringe and embarrasding,this forum could analyse an ai perfect face and say shit like 'gonions are off by 10 degrees, this ratio is off etc, when all it takes is 1 secound to see the failos in som1s face

Once it meant something. It was to describe your facial features being well synchronized and fitting with each other, even if you have failos and proportions that are "technically" off/ugly. Like Adam Driver, he should be hideous because of his long midface, downward grown jaw, and very short chin but he still looks good

Best way to describe facial harmony to greycels is to look at faces as a painting/picture: contrast, synchronization, details being in the right places paint a beautiful canvas.

Harmony is not subjective, it’s literally ratios

No foid, harmony is completely objective, it's calculable even, look how it's done by an ultra autist

its the remainder of an unsolved equation my nigga.

harmony is completely objective,
mostly agree yeah.

Harmony, is the combo of the factors of:
* averageness and
* proportions of face shape and features.
* ratio's of the placement of these features.
* and the general ratio's.

Averageness is probably the most important individual factor, for harmony. if one really wants to have great harmony.
Sometimes bad individual features, can look better/worse wether or not it is in proportion and placement with the other individual features that matter.

* for people not knowing averageness means: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Averageness

Nope it’s very clear to me what harmony actually is and how important it is.

It’s just ratios and masculine/feminine balance. It’s about what combination of features will help you achieve a certain look.

It’s everything.

Cope tbh, harmony is mainly ratios/proportions and having features that go well with your pheno. Averageness as well

Although its true that some mention harmony because they're unable to point out flaws accurately.

No, the guy in this video has taken his "objective" measurments from a survey of mainly 40yo+ males

No. Harmony is real and it means unconventional attractivness, but as others have pointed out this is used as a cope for subhooms, there is a difference between genuine unconventional beauty and cope subhomanity.
